We are developing an economic model that underpins the common good.
In partnership with Andy Haldane, Chief Economist of the Bank of England, the Common Good Foundation is developing the principles and practices of Common Good Economics, which seeks to restore some integrity to the economy through establishing local banks and sources of capital, strengthening vocation through education and in business, embracing employee representation on boards, decentralisation and stronger, more solid communities across the UK.
In 2017 we ran an initial series of seminars with representatives from business, civic and faith communities. In 2018, we will continue this work with a series of seminars on the following themes:
- Banking reform
- Corporate Governance reform
- Vocational training
- Assumptions of Common Good Economics
